By Paulo Pincel, in Piauí Hoje - After tensions rose within the government's base, the opposition is mobilizing to take advantage of the instability caused by Governor Wellington Dias' decision to nominate Senator Regina Sousa (PT-PI) as the pre-candidate for vice-governor, a position sought by state deputy Themístocles Filho with the support of the entire MDB of Piauí.
Senator Elmano Férrer (Podemos) went to TV Cidade Verde this Thursday (19) and admitted the possibility of forming a ticket with state deputy Dr. Pessoa (Solidariedade) and Frank Aguiar (PRB).
“Pessoa is qualified to run for any office. He is an unquestionable leader in the state, especially in Teresina. He is arriving in São Paulo for another meeting with the leadership of Solidariedade, and we will await his return. Yesterday it was agreed that the three of them will campaign together in these elections, with Elmano as the pre-candidate for governor. Pessoa will stay with us, whatever the situation may be,” Elmano believes.
