After 'careful internal evaluations', initiated last November, the opposition bloc in the Legislative Assembly of Bahia officially announced its support late Tuesday afternoon for the candidacy of Deputy Ângelo Coronel (PSD) - pictured - for the presidency of the Legislative Assembly of Bahia (ALBA); the virtually unanimous decision involves the support of 19 of the 21 parliamentarians in the bloc.
Bahia 247 - After 'careful internal evaluations', initiated in November 2016, the opposition bench in the Legislative Assembly of Bahia officially announced late Tuesday afternoon (31) its support for the candidacy of deputy Ângelo Coronel (PSD) for the presidency of the Legislative Assembly of Bahia (ALBA).
The virtually unanimous decision involves the support of 19 of the 21 members of parliament in the caucus.
"The opposition understands that the time has come to bring about a change in the Legislative Branch and allow another parliamentarian the opportunity to assume the position," said the minority leader, Deputy Sandro Régis (DEM).
