Operation Civil Police 24h has already arrested 26 in the state.

Operation "Civil Police 24h," aimed at preventing crime during the end-of-year festivities, began in the early hours of Tuesday and has already arrested 26 suspects. The operation, conducted by the Public Security Secretariat, will execute 200 arrest and search warrants against murderers and drug traffickers and has the support of the Military Police and the Federal Highway Police; according to Piauí Hoje.

Piauí Today - Operation "Civil Police 24h," aimed at preventing crime during the end-of-year festivities, began in the early hours of Tuesday and has already arrested 26 suspects. The operation, conducted by the Public Security Secretariat, will execute 200 arrest and search warrants against murderers and drug traffickers, and has the support of the Military Police and the Federal Highway Police. 

There are 500 civil police officers from 12 Regional Police Stations, 25 Police Districts, and 15 Specialized Units, executing arrest and search warrants throughout Piauí.

In addition to the warrants, the actions include inspections and roadblocks for pedestrians and drivers throughout the day at various points in the city.

Starting at 19 PM, civil police officers will gather at the General Police Station to begin work related to inspections in vulnerable locations where minors are consuming alcoholic beverages. The Child Protective Services will be present, along with teams from the Human Rights Police Station and the Environmental Police Station, and the promotion of the Salve Maria app to combat domestic violence.

At 7:00 AM, at the headquarters of the General Police Department, the Secretary of Public Security, Fábio Abreu, and the Chief of Police, Riedel Batista, spoke with the press. A press conference is scheduled for noon today.

The team led by Detective Daniel Pires arrested two women with a quantity of drugs, money, and a cell phone. Suzielle da Conceição Sousa Silva and Kelma Rochele Machado de Oliveira were arrested at their home on Rua Canindé, in Parque Alvorada. The Civil Police found R$1.172,50 in cash, several rocks of crack cocaine, and a cell phone in their possession.
