Open-air opera on Easter Sunday
Dona Lindu park will host today (8) the duet of the Symphony Orchestra and the Opera Company of Recife, starting at 18 pm, in a free event, as part of the Holy Week celebrations.
Beatriz Braga _PE247 - Dona Lindu Park, in Boa Viagem (South Zone of the city), will be the stage for the Cavalleria Rusticana opera concert, this Sunday (8), starting at 18 pm. Outdoors and taking advantage of the sea landscape in front of it, the Recife Symphony Orchestra and the Recife Opera Company (Core) will come together in a free show.
In this classical duet, the Orchestra will be responsible for the musical arrangements, under the direction of conductor Osman Gioia, while the Core will perform the opera, with music by Pietro Mascagni. Despite detaching itself from religious connotations, the performance aims to offer a "high-quality" alternative to the people of Recife during the Holy Week celebrations.
