Bahia 247 - The fourth round of Olympic football in Salvador, which took place this Wednesday (10), registering the largest concentration of people at Arena Fonte Nova so far in the tournament, went without any serious crimes occurring inside and around the stadium. The public watched the matches between Japan X Sweden and Brazil X Denmark in peace.

During the security operation, 12 tickets were seized from four people who were trying to sell them illegally, through a practice known as 'scalping'. The alleged vendors were taken to the Consumer Protection Police Station and released after signing a statement. Three thefts (non-violent theft) complete the list of reported incidents.

The leadership of the Regional Integrated Security Executive Committee (Cesir) monitored the police operation from the Operations and Intelligence Center of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP).

"I once again commend the performance of the Bahia police officers in this mega-operation and the integration with federal and municipal institutions. We directed the policing, at the end of the match, to the metro stations, as we noticed that the largest flow of fans used this transportation system to return home," says the head of the SSP, Maurício Barbosa.

Approximately three thousand members of the Military Police, Civil Police, Technical Police, and Fire Department acted preventively and, when necessary, repressively, in the Arena and on the main access roads, with the support of the Integrated Regional Command and Control Center (CICCR) in directing the units, taking into account the images from the cameras spread throughout the region.
