The email found further complicates the situation of the building manager who confessed to murdering a real estate agent: "useless fetus"
Daiane disappeared on December 17, 2025, after last being seen in the building where she lived, in the center of Caldas Novas.
247 - Real estate agent Daiane Alves Souza, 43, found dead in December 2025 in southern Goiás, had sought legal recourse to report threats, insults, and her fear of being murdered. In an email sent to the court in Caldas Novas, she stated that she was "afraid and apprehensive for my own life" when reporting attacks she attributed to the building's superintendent and his son. This information was initially released by [source name missing]. g1, who had access to the document.
Daiane disappeared on December 17, 2025, after last being seen in the building where she lived, in the center of Caldas Novas. According to the investigation, she had gone to the building's basement to try to restore the electricity to her apartment, which was without power. Days later, her body was found in a wooded area in the municipality of Ipameri, about 20 kilometers away, already in a skeletal state.
In the email forwarded to the court, the real estate agent described a history of conflicts with Maicon Douglas de Oliveira, son of the building manager Cleber Rosa de Oliveira. Both became the subject of a police investigation as the main suspects in the crime. In the document, Daiane reports suffering "material and moral" damages and claims to be a constant target of misogynistic attacks. "Therefore, in this precautionary measure, I request the removal and prohibition of any form of disclosure of my name. I am afraid and apprehensive for my own life," the real estate agent wrote in the excerpt from the email sent to the court.
According to the report, Maicon Douglas, who also worked as a real estate agent, allegedly initiated the insults with the aim of preventing Daiane from continuing to work with rentals in the building. The professional dispute was reportedly the trigger for a series of verbal and psychological aggressions, according to the document attached to the case.
According to the text sent to the court, Daiane stated that she began receiving offensive messages on Instagram. The communications, she said, contained humiliating and derogatory terms, causing a strong emotional impact. The behavior was described as a series of direct attacks, marked by psychological violence, misogyny, and ageism.
"The messages contained insinuations about the plaintiff's financial situation, as well as prejudiced comments about her age, characterizing a clear case of ageism, referring to the plaintiff in a disrespectful manner, even going so far as to call her a 'useless fetus'," says another excerpt from the document, which remains in its entirety.
Given the situation, the real estate agent requested an urgent provisional injunction from the court. According to the email, the request took into account the emotional distress suffered, the crimes against her honor and dignity, and the need for immediate protection, as well as a request for compensation for moral damages. In addition to the allegations of threats and insults, Daiane had also filed a police report for physical assault. In May 2025, she accused the building manager, Cleber Rosa de Oliveira, of assaulting her during an argument about the lack of water in her apartment. At the time, the real estate agent filmed the moment she was allegedly struck with an elbow.
In her statement to the police, Daiane reported that she was assaulted during the argument. Cleber, in turn, claimed that he was pushed and that, at that moment, the broker's cell phone fell while she was recording the conversation.
The progress of the investigations led to the arrest of Cleber Rosa de Oliveira, 49, in the early hours of last Wednesday (28), in Caldas Novas. According to the Civil Police, he confessed to the homicide and indicated to investigators the location where he abandoned the victim's body, in a wooded area in Ipameri. In addition to the building manager, his son, Maicon Douglas de Oliveira, a systems analyst, was also arrested, suspected of obstructing the investigation. A doorman from the building was even coercively taken to give explanations, but his name was preserved and, therefore, there was no contact with the defense for comment.
According to the detective in charge of the case, Pedromar Augusto de Souza, the evidence gathered during the investigation indicates that the victim had been experiencing an escalation of violence before being killed. The content of the email sent to the court reinforces, according to the police, that Daiane already felt threatened and was seeking institutional protection months before the crime.
The case remains under investigation, while the suspects remain at the disposal of the Justice system. The death of Daiane Alves Souza has reignited the debate about the effectiveness of protection measures for victims who report threats and violence, especially in contexts of prolonged conflicts and repeated psychological abuse.
