Bahia 247 - Elected leader of the PSDB in the Chamber of Deputies in 2014, the current leader of the minority in Congress, Deputy Antônio Imbassahy, promised total commitment to the articulation in favor of the candidacy of his party colleague Aécio Neves for the presidency of the Republic and showed a synchronized discourse among the members of the PSDB.

A member of parliament believes that the PT's "cycle" is coming to an end because it is doing "a lot of harm to Brazilians" and that Aécio is the right candidate to make the "profound changes" that the people demanded in the street protests last June.

"This is a government driven by propaganda and marketing, which imposes a terrible sacrifice on public health for the population, fails to combat crime, cannot advance education, nor make the economy grow. In short, Brazil needs real change. And the united party, under the leadership of Senator Aécio Neves, will give every demonstration of confidence and that the new project we will present to Brazil will meet the hopes of the population."

In a press release, the politician also thanked his colleagues for choosing him as the party leader for the coming year.

"It is gratifying to know that my party colleagues trust me and recognize the work I have been developing in the Chamber, in favor of the growth of the PSDB, the country, and my beloved Bahia. Rest assured that my commitment will be even greater from now on, in order to honor the trust and credibility placed in me, at such an important moment as the upcoming election period in 2014. I am very satisfied."

To conclude, the opposition leader highlighted the "quality of the PSDB caucus" and praised the performance of the PSDB's recent leaders and the minority.
