The new Municipal Social Assistance Council will be sworn in this Tuesday.

The election of the new board took place in December of last year. The CMAS is a deliberative and supervisory body for the Municipal Social Assistance Policy. The board is composed of 40 members, including alternates.

Ceara 247 - The City Hall of Fortaleza will swear in the new members of the Municipal Council of Social Assistance (CMAS) of Fortaleza this Tuesday, the 3rd, for the 2015-2017 term. The ceremony will take place at the City Hall at 18 pm and will include the participation of the head of the Secretariat of Labor, Social Development and Fight against Hunger (Setra), Cláudio Ricardo, the president of CMAS, Iraguassu Filho, and guests.

The board is composed of 40 councilors, including full and alternate members. Half of the councilors represent the public sector and the other half civil society – social assistance entities, users and workers of Social Assistance – elected through a general assembly for a two-year term, and may be re-elected only once.
