Ceará 247 - Councilor Higo Carlos (PT), from Quixadá, delivered this Tuesday afternoon (31), to the Public Prosecutor of the Special Civil and Criminal Court of the District of Quixadá, Dr. Elnatan Oliveira Junior, new complaints about expired medicines from the City Hall. More than 20 (twenty) expired medicine items were found in the residence where the former headquarters of the Consultation Scheduling Center of the Health Department of Quixadá was located, which is next to the Museum.

Amoxicillin, Cinetol, Levonorgestrel, syrups and even medications for continuous use and equipment for performing blood glucose tests were found. After demands from several parliamentarians, the house was opened by employees of the Health Surveillance of Quixadá in the early morning of Monday (30). For the councilor, "the city hall attests to its irresponsibility, incompetence in management and commits an act of administrative impropriety, since it fails to take care of the patrimony and also to offer essential services for the preservation of human life. We have recorded the situation many times, where the medicines were stored and expiring, as we found today". According to councilor Higo Carlos, the prosecutor should open a process to investigate the fact.

The complaints were first made on the 26th, when councilors Higo Carlos, Kleber Junior, Ereni Lima (Capitão), Audênio Moraes and Kelton Dantas discovered hundreds of misplaced medications in a deactivated Health Unit in the Carrascal II neighborhood.
