In Tocantins, tax auditors halt their activities.

The category protests against lack of policing, the dilapidation of the Tax units and the Reimbursement of Fiscal Activity Expenses (Redaf). After the announcement, the Union of Tax Auditors of the State Revenue of the State of Tocantins (Sindare), spoke out against the movement. Both unions have the same name, but are rivals.
“Sindare will not allow its members to be used to the detriment of other entities' movements, as former Sefaz managers have done in the past. Therefore, it recommends that its members not comply with any requests from anyone to perform duties different from those they are already normally performing this month, especially if it appears that the purpose of such summons is solely to sabotage the movement of any class entity or the demands of other public servants,” he stated.
The Sindifiscal union stated that it decided to halt activities after meeting with the Chief Secretary of the Civil House, Télio Ayres, the commander of the Military Police, Colonel Glauber Oliveira, and the president of the state government's management committee, Lívio Queiroz. According to the union, it was not possible to obtain concrete answers to its demands.
In a statement, the State Finance Secretariat affirmed that it "has been in talks with Sindifiscal (the union representing tax auditors) regarding the issues that allegedly motivate the strike by tax auditors and that it has never relinquished its responsibility to guarantee the integrity and safety of employees and taxpayers in the workplace, in sync with the effective collection of taxes and preventing tax evasion."
"Specifically regarding security, partnerships are being coordinated with the Secretary of Public Security and the Commander of the Military Police to enable the presence of police officers in all inspection units," the text says.
According to the statement, "regarding the update of the Reimbursement of Fiscal Activity Expenses (REDAF) – this will be done at the appropriate time, with the approval of the Management Committee, noting that it is the purpose of this administration to resolve any and all outstanding financial issues of the Government, whether with employees or service providers. However, everything must be done within the parameters of the Fiscal Responsibility Law."
