247 Philosopher Vladimir Safatle may enter the race for governor of São Paulo in 2014. He has just joined the PSOL party.

A professor at USP and columnist for Folha, he ruled out the possibility of running for Congress and said he has been in talks with the party for about a year.

In 2012, Safatle coordinated the Culture program for then-PT candidate for mayor of São Paulo, Fernando Haddad, but was not invited to take over the ministry. Furthermore, the PT already has a candidate to run against Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB), the Minister of Health, Alexandre Padilha.
