The Public Prosecutor's Office requests the freezing of assets belonging to Marcelo, Brito, and Siqueira.

The State Public Prosecutor's Office (MPE) has filed 12 more lawsuits requesting the freezing of assets belonging to Governor Marcelo Miranda (PMDB), former Governor Siqueira Campos, former Secretary José Edmar Brito Miranda, the State Secretary of Infrastructure, Housing and Public Services (Seinf), Sérgio Leão, as well as 17 public servants and the companies Rivoli SPA, Emsa and Construsan; the lawsuits refer to contract 403/1998 and point to irregularities in the construction of bridges in 14 municipalities; there are now 80 lawsuits filed by the MPE task force requesting the freezing of assets worth R$ 646,9 million related to this contract.

Tocantins 247 - The State Public Prosecutor's Office (MPE) has filed 12 more lawsuits requesting the freezing of assets belonging to Governor Marcelo Miranda (PMDB), former Governor Siqueira Campos, former State Secretary José Edmar Brito Miranda, the State Secretary of Infrastructure, Housing and Public Services (Seinf), Sérgio Leão, 17 public servants, and the companies Rivoli SPA, Empresa Sul Americana de Montagens (Emsa), and Construsan Construtora e Incorporadora, totaling approximately R$ 50 million. This information comes from Wednesday's edition, the 22nd, of the Jornal do Tocantins.

According to the newspaper, the lawsuits refer to contract 403, from 1998, and the Public Prosecutor's Office points to irregularities in the construction of bridges in Goianorte, Colinas do Tocantins, Araguaçu, Ponte Alta do Tocantins, Pindorama, Paraíso do Tocantins, Conceição do Tocantins, Paranã, Santa Tereza, Lagoa do Tocantins, Palmeirante, Riachinho, Wanderlândia, and Marianópolis. The 12 lawsuits are being processed in the 3rd Court of Public Finance and Records of the Palmas District, with Judge Silvana Parfieniuk presiding.

There are already 80 lawsuits filed by the Public Prosecutor's Office task force requesting the freezing of assets worth R$ 646,9 million. Those cited had assets frozen in the first instance, but the State Court of Justice received appeals and overturned the decision.

In an interview with Jornal do Tocantins, Governor Marcelo Miranda, Brito Miranda, and Sérgio Leão, through the State Secretariat of Communication (Secom), stated that it is necessary to be aware of the actions taken, but emphasized that the bridges previously questioned have been built and are in use.

Siqueira Campos' press office informed the newspaper that the former governor would not be making a statement due to his hospitalization. However, based on a previous response on the same subject, they emphasized that Siqueira signed the contract, but its execution was carried out by his successor.
