Brazilian prosecutors are demanding R$ 4 million from former heads of the Metro and Alstom.

The lawsuit filed by prosecutor Nelson Luís Sampaio de Andrade cites irregularities in the contract for train signaling and control, obtained without bidding by CMW, which was acquired by Alstom; the supply lasted 18 years; among the nine accused is Ademir Venâncio (pictured), former administrative director of the São Paulo-based company, who is also under investigation by the Federal Police.

247 The Public Prosecutor's Office wants nine former directors of the São Paulo Metro and the French multinational Alstom to be ordered to return R$ 4 million to public coffers. 

The lawsuit filed by prosecutor Nelson Luís Sampaio de Andrade cites irregularities in the contract for the train signaling and control system for the northern and eastern extensions of the Metro, obtained without bidding by CMW, which was acquired by Alstom. The supply lasted 18 years, until 2007, and had 23 addendums during that period.

Among those accused is Ademir Venâncio, former administrative director of the São Paulo-based company, who is also under investigation by the Federal Police.
