247 - Football teams linked to social movements and the outskirts of São Paulo will participate in a tournament aimed at calling for the strengthening of democracy and the removal of interim vice-president Michel Temer from power.

The "Doctor Sócrates, Football for Democracy" championship will bring together men's and women's football teams at the CMTC Club this Saturday, the 9th, starting at 9 am, on Avenida Cruzeira do Sul, in the city of São Paulo.

The tournament will feature teams from the Coletivo Democracia Corinthiana, the Landless Workers' Movement and the Movement of People Affected by the Dam (MST and MAB), and groups from the East Zone and the ABC region of São Paulo, such as Garantia de Luta, Brabos, Celeste Proletária, and Força Jovem.

The percussion group from the Popular Youth Uprising will also be present and will perform at the event.
