Misael supports Marconi and attacks Iris's "vanity".

The mayor of Senador Canedo (a municipality in the greater Goiânia area with 57 voters) and a long-time ally of businessman and former candidate Vanderlan Cardoso, has joined the ranks of the current governor in the second round of elections in Goiás. True to his outspoken style, the mayor of Senador Canedo said that in 50 years of political career, Iris “never let anyone grow in the PMDB” and that the PMDB member will suffer another defeat because of his “personal vanity.” Several allies of Vanderlan, who declared himself neutral, have announced their support for the re-election of the PSDB candidate.

Goiás247 - A staunch ally of the regional president of the PSB and former gubernatorial candidate Vanderlan Cardoso, the mayor of Senador Canedo, Misael Oliveira (PDT), will support the re-election of Marconi Perillo (PSDB) in the second round of elections in Goiás. In the Giro column of the newspaper O Popular this Friday (10), Misael not only informed that he will work for the tucano but also harshly criticized the PMDB member Iris Reznede. “Iris’s problem is that in his more than 50 years of political career, he has never let anyone grow in the PMDB. Vanderlan and Júnior Friboi are examples of this. Iris will suffer another defeat because of his personal vanity,” said the mayor, in his outspoken style.

Misael explained that he had made an agreement with Vanderlan in which, if the PSB member remained neutral, he would support Marconi. If Vanderlan opted for Iris, the mayor of Canedo would remain neutral. "I have no affinity whatsoever with the PMDB, which only wants supporting actors," he also told Giro.

Misael Oliveira joins several political leaders who sided with Vanderlan in the first round and who now support Marconi's reelection. Statements of support are expected in the coming hours from the president of the PSC in the state, Joaquim Jacinto de Lima, known as Liminha, and the re-elected state deputy Symeizon Silveira. The PSC is the party of the candidate for vice-governor on Vanderlan's ticket, Professor Alcides.

On Thursday (9), councilors Rafael Gonzaga (Senador Canedo) and Cláudio Everson da Silva e Souza (Aparecida de Goiânia), both from PSC, stated that they support Marconi. Both worked on Vanderlan's campaign as coordinators in their respective cities. The meeting between the governor and these councilors was arranged by state deputy Marlúcio Pereira (PTB) and took place at the Central Committee, in Goiânia.

Rafael Gonzaga, who advised Vanderlan for many years in his companies and also in the Senador Canedo City Hall, emphasizes that Marconi has the "best project for the State," and that he brought numerous benefits, works, and services to Senador Canedo. "The governor has done the most for the city, such as the duplication of GO-403 and the land regularization of the homes of hundreds of residents, who are now breathing a sigh of relief with the deeds to their houses in hand," he explains.

The councilman also says he will work tirelessly to ensure Marconi wins the second round of elections in Senador Canedo. “We will organize a task force to showcase everything the governor has done for the city. Many people are unaware that improvements to public transportation and the establishment of a Military Police Battalion, for example, are the responsibility of the state government,” says Rafael Gonzaga.

Councilman Cláudio Everson, from Aparecida de Goiânia, says he has worked in the field of Education for over 14 years and explains that one of the mobilization strategies to ensure Marconi's victory in the city will involve professionals from the public education system.
