Tocantins 247 - The gubernatorial candidate, Marcelo Miranda, and his running mate, Marcelo Lelis, are participating in the festivities honoring Our Lord of Bonfim in Natividade, Araguacema, and Fortaleza do Tabocão, which are taking place this Thursday, the 15th. Senator and candidate for re-election, Kátia Abreu, is also participating.

The incoming Governor's first engagement will be at 8:00 AM in Natividade, where he will participate in the celebration of Mass. Afterwards, at 3:00 PM, he will travel to Araguacema, and at 6:00 PM, he will conclude his schedule at the Senhor do Bonfim pilgrimage in Fortaleza do Tabocão.

"Since my childhood, I have participated in these festivities, which are the greatest religious manifestation of our Christian people in Tocantins, because we understand that the message brought by Our Lord Jesus Christ is for us to live in peace, working and living together as brothers and sisters," said Marcelo.

For Vice Governor Marcelo Lelis, who also follows the Catholic tradition, the pilgrimages to Senhor do Bonfim are opportunities for reflection. "We must take advantage of these moments to reflect on the peace and cooperation treaty among all of us, Christians or not, because we understand that the love taught by Christ is unconditional," argues the incoming Vice Governor of Tocantins.
