Minister puts Caiado on the team "against Brazil"

Brazilian Defense Minister Jaques Wagner has included Senator Ronaldo Caiado (DEM) from Goiás on his list of politicians and personalities who are working against Brazil; "Today, in Brazilian politics, there are two teams on the field. On one side, defending democracy, is the team formed by great exponents of national culture, such as Gilberto Gil, Osmar Prado, and Jô. They recognize that the moment is difficult, but they preach respect for the Constitution. On the other, there is the 'the worse, the better' team, those who place their electoral ambitions above the institutional stability of the country," the minister wrote on his Twitter.

Goiás 247 - Defense Minister Jaques Wagner has included Senator Ronaldo Caiado (DEM) from Goiás on his list of politicians and personalities who are working against Brazil. "Today, in Brazilian politics, there are two teams on the field," the Workers' Party member said on his Twitter account.

"On one side, defending democracy, is a team made up of great exponents of national culture, such as Gilberto Gil, Osmar Prado, and Jô. They recognize that the moment is difficult, but they advocate respect for the Constitution and maintain confidence in the project that lifted millions out of poverty," wrote Wagner.

"On the other side, there's the 'the worse, the better' team, those who place their electoral ambitions above the institutional stability of the country," said the minister, who posted a photo showing Caiado alongside singer Lobão, Senator Aécio Neves, and federal deputy Carlos Sampaio.

Ronaldo Caiado is an advocate and practitioner of coup-mongering rhetoric against President Dilma Rousseff. However, within the Democrats party, this radical stance is not shared by everyone. The mayor of Salvador, ACM Neto, did not attend the protests on the 16th and even refused to support impeachment.
