Brasiliaa – The future of the Brazilian Socialist Party (PSB) in Dilma Rousseff's government is currently being defined in a hastily convened meeting of the party's national executive committee in Brasília. Upon arriving at the meeting, the Minister of National Integration, Fernando Bezerra, confirmed that "the party should take the initiative to make the positions available to the president." According to him, the objective is for Dilma "to feel completely at ease, with the freedom to make the changes she deems necessary in her cabinet."

In addition to the Ministry of National Integration, headed by Bezerra since 2011, the PSB also holds the Secretariat of Ports of the Presidency of the Republic, under the command of Leônidas Cristino from Ceará, who is not present at the meeting because he is in Panama.

At the second tier of government, the party holds the presidency of the Port Authority, the São Francisco Hydroelectric Company (Chesf), and three directorates of the São Francisco Valley Development Company (Codevasf).

The PSB also holds the presidencies of the Superintendency for the Development of the Central-West Region (Sudeco), the Superintendency for the Development of the Northeast Region (Sudene), and the Superintendency for the Development of the Amazon Region (Sudam).

The decision began to be discussed after speculation that President Dilma was considering dismissing the ministers from the PSB party. This information was not confirmed by the Presidential Palace.
