Ministry releases funds for hospital.

Alagoas247 - The Ministry of Health (MS) announced a financial transfer of around R$ 3,5 million for structural improvements at the Professor Alberto Antunes University Hospital (HUPAA). The decrees were published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Thursday (21). The ministerial body considered decrees that establish the National Program for the Restructuring of University Hospitals (REHUF).

The decrees address the shared financing of hospitals between the education and health sectors, and regulate the global agreement regime with the units.

Through Ordinance No. 1.748, the amount of R$ 425.434,40 is established for the modernization of four elevators, R$ 173.187,72 for the adaptation of the laundry to receive acquired equipment and comply with the standards of the Health Surveillance, R$ 457.685,03 for the adaptation of the physical structure of the Hemodynamics Unit to serve users of the Unified Health System (SUS), in addition to R$ 306.159,52 for the renovation of the Nephrology service in order to expand the care and treatment of patients with kidney diseases.

Decree No. 1.749 allocates R$ 285.460,00 for the modernization of the HU substation (generators), plus R$ 40 (transformers) and R$ 334 for the acquisition of equipment for use in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging room.

The Ministry of Health also allocated an additional amount through Ordinance No. 1.750, setting the total at R$ 1.669.294,07. However, the document does not specify the intended use of this budgetary sum.

Maternity

The funds provided by the Ministry of Health arrive precisely at a time when the maternity ward at the University Hospital is overcrowded. Services there were even suspended for a day due to the number of pregnant women waiting in the pre-delivery area.
