Argentine media highlights Minas Gerais' tourism potential.

Minas Agency - A visit by a delegation of authorities, businesspeople, and journalists from Argentina to Minas Gerais last June resulted in reports in some of that country's most important publications, such as the newspapers Clarín and La Nación, and the news agency Télam. The articles highlight the state's natural and historical riches, capable of attracting tourists from all over the world.

Argentine journalists came to Minas Gerais at the invitation of the State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur-MG). Over three days, they visited important tourist attractions in Belo Horizonte, as well as Inhotim, Ouro Preto, and Mariana. A gastronomic tour of the Minas Gerais capital was also part of the press trip.

The Clarín report states that the lack of beaches doesn't bother the people of Minas Gerais, who have learned to attract visitors through the richness of their history. The text emphasizes that the Estrada Real (Royal Road) plays an important role in this context, but that the art and culture itinerary of Minas Gerais has its strongest roots in Belo Horizonte.

The La Nación article, in turn, emphasizes that Belo Horizonte has a tourist offering that seduces lovers of architecture, art, and gastronomy. The architectural diversity of Praça da Liberdade is highlighted by the publication, as well as Niemeyer's works on the shores of the Pampulha lagoon. The beauty of Inhotim and its open-air museum also received coverage in the report.

In addition to the attractions of Belo Horizonte, the Baroque-style churches of Ouro Preto and the art sculpted in soapstone also caught the attention of the Télam news agency, which also highlighted the Passagem Mine, located in Mariana, and the gardens of Inhotim, designed by Roberto Burle Marx.
