Aécio, a boy from Rio, doesn't seem willing to return to Minas Gerais.
Last week, when rumors surfaced that Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) was preparing to move to Minas Gerais, hoping to recover lost ground from the last elections, he was enjoying the pool at the Fasano Hotel in Rio, alongside his friend Alexandre Accioly.
Minas 247 – Senator Aécio Neves (PSDB-MG) has lost the last three elections in Minas Gerais.
He was defeated by the deposed president Dilma Rousseff in Minas Gerais, lost the race for state governor with his candidate Pimenta da Veiga, and was also crushed in this year's municipal election by the current mayor Alexandre Kalil, from the small PHS party.
For this very reason, and also because he is one of the names most frequently mentioned in the Lava Jato corruption scandal, the PSDB party began to advocate that he should move from Rio de Janeiro, where he lives, to Minas Gerais, the state that elected him senator, in an attempt to recover lost ground.
However, last week, when rumors surfaced that Aécio was preparing to move to Belo Horizonte, he was enjoying the pool at the Fasano Hotel in Rio, alongside his friend Alexandre Accioly.
By all indications, Aécio intends to continue living in the Marvelous City (Rio de Janeiro).
