Doctors in Pernambuco will suspend public and private elective services, safeguarding care in areas such as emergencies, urgent care, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hemotherapy and hemodialysis this Tuesday (30) and Wednesday (31); the movement is part of the protests coordinated by the National Medical Movement, which is against Provisional Measure 621/2013 and the importation of foreign doctors without the application of the Revalida exam.

The movement is part of the protests coordinated by the National Medical Movement, which is against Provisional Measure 621/2013 and the importation of foreign doctors without the application of the Revalida exam.
On Tuesday, professionals promise to conduct inspections of the state's health units to identify infrastructure deficiencies and also to identify patients awaiting transfer to other units or surgical facilities, as well as intensive care units (ICUs). The material will be forwarded to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Pernambuco (MPPE).
On the second day of mobilization, a community service event will be held at the Memorial da Medicina, in the Derby neighborhood, in the central region of Recife. There, doctors will provide consultations in the areas of cardiology, internal medicine, dermatology, and pediatrics. In the early evening, the group will hold an assembly to discuss the direction of the movement.
