Promoting Campos' name is a priority for PSB.
The PSB's strategy of popularizing the name of the governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos, aiming to make him better known for his presidential run in 2014, is expected to intensify in the coming months. Campos is expected to increase his participation in events outside the Northeast region and also participate in PSB state-level party broadcasts throughout the country. "Our current phase is not about consulting polls, but rather about making Eduardo's name as well-known as possible throughout the country," says the vice-president of the PSB, Roberto Amaral.
Paulo Emílio_PE247- The PSB's strategy of massifying the name of the governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos, aiming to make him better known in the event of a party-backed candidacy for the Presidency of the Republic in 2014, should be intensified in the coming months. After achieving an average of six audience points in Greater São Paulo, when he participated in an interview on the Programa do Ratinho, broadcast by SBT last Thursday (29), Campos should expand his participation in events outside the Northeast Region, where he concentrates his largest electoral coefficient, and should also participate in the PSB's state party insertions throughout the country.
According to the national vice-president of the PSB, Roberto Amaral, at this moment the party is not interested in counting the audience ratings of Campos' participation in programs like Ratinho's or even in counting the numbers from electoral polls. "Our current focus is not on consulting polls, but rather on making Eduardo's name as well-known as possible throughout the country. Therefore, we will intensify his participation in various events and activities, in addition to working on his presence in our second round of radio and television spots," he stated.
The strategy to be employed by the PSB follows the model outlined in the first half of this year, when Campos gradually intensified his participation in events involving public appearances and political maneuvering throughout the country. The idea is to present the governor as a modern manager who has positive results to show, as well as being a fresh face with new ideas, demonstrating alignment with the desire for change expressed by part of the electorate in the demonstrations that have taken place in several Brazilian cities in recent months.
As for party radio and television spots broadcast at the state level, they will have dedicated slots for Eduardo's intervention, as happened in the first half of the year. At the national level, the party is entitled to two programs, each ten minutes long. Since the first one already aired in the first half of the year, the second one is scheduled for October 10th. These spots can be broadcast eight days a year, half in the first half of the year and the rest in the second. The five-minute segments can be 30 seconds or one minute long. State-level spots, totaling 40 minutes, can also be broadcast in 30-second or one-minute segments.
