Reuters Following Wendell Lira's victory last year, FIFA announced on its website this Friday the three finalists for the Puskas Award for the most beautiful goal scored in 2016 and opened the public vote to choose the winner.
Brazil still has one representative on the list with Marlone, from Corinthians. He competes with Mohad Faiz Subri, from Malaysia, and Daniuska Rodríguez, from Venezuela.
Marlone's goal, scored against Cobresal in the Copa Libertadores, was a chest-kick victory followed by an acrobatic volley.
Daniuska Rodríguez repeats Stephanie Roche's feat from 2014 and represents the women on the list.
The award ceremony will be held in Zurich, Switzerland, on January 9th.
