Pernambuco 247 - Former senator and presidential candidate for the PSB party, Marina Silva, has cancelled her trip to Pernambuco scheduled for next week. Despite the cancellation, her campaign teams say she is expected to return to the state before election day.
The forecast was that Marina would arrive in Pernambuco next Tuesday (23) to participate in campaign events in the municipalities of Caruaru and Petrolina, located in the Agreste and Sertão regions of the State. With the change, which was reportedly made to optimize the socialist's campaign schedule, it is not known whether the travel itinerary will be maintained when Marina confirms the new date of her return.
Since becoming a presidential candidate, following the death of former Pernambuco governor Eduardo Campos (PSB) on August 13 in Santos (SP), Marina has only been to Pernambuco once for campaign events.
The event, organized jointly with the PSB candidate for Governor of the State, Paulo Câmara, took place on August 23rd, when she participated in a walk in the Casa Amarela neighborhood, in the North Zone of Recife.
