Marconi sends a message: Lula will regret this.

Advisors to the governor of Goiás, Marconi Perillo (PSDB), are going to Twitter to "warn" the former president of the risk he is running by placing him in the eye of the storm of the Cachoeira CPI. The governor himself said: The country suffers from "fifth-rate leadership".

Vassil Oliveira_Goiás 247 - "Lula will bitterly regret putting Marconi Perillo in the eye of the storm." The phrase is a post on the page of an advisor to Governor Marconi Perillo and was posted in the middle of the night this Wednesday, the 30th, and then removed (but 'screenshot' by 247). Another message posted and deleted: "Little question - What if a hoarse duck appears in Carlinhos Cachoeira's conversations?" The statement has a clear target: former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

Throughout the day, behind-the-scenes information emerged from sources connected to the governor: the leak of information from Operation Monte Carlo was planned, and among the "many things" that had not yet been disclosed was a Federal Police protocol regarding conversations between Lula supporters and Cachoeira.

Thus, without further ado, the information circulated by word of mouth until the two posts, published and deleted, which in turn followed strong statements from the governor in the late afternoon with more shots aimed at Lula. "We live in a country where some leaders who consider themselves above good and evil, who consider themselves true gods, are nothing more than fifth-rate leaders. All it takes is an opportunity for people to begin to understand things, to recognize false leaders who rely on cheap demagoguery aimed at less enlightened people," Marconi declared, with a clear target – Lula – during a speech at the Oscar Niemeyer Cultural Center (CCON), where he handed out 52 cards for the Bolsa Futuro program.

According to information from the website A Redação, the governor also stated that he has been persecuted because of his 'alleged relationship' with the illegal gambling operator Carlinhos Cachoeira. "The worst thing in the world is not financial poverty. It's the poverty of spirit of those who harbor hatred against people. Of those who want to perpetuate themselves in power at any cost. Here in Goiás we are a free people," he said, who is in his third term as governor. It's worth remembering that Lula served two terms in office.

In a chain reaction, or rather, a network reaction, the Secretary of Institutional Coordination of the Government of the State of Goiás, Daniel Goulart, also sent a message on Twitter. Retweeting information from a blog about a possible split between the PT and PMDB parties in the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry), he tweeted: "They are afraid of the truths from @marconiperillo". In other words: if the CPI is losing control, it's because Marconi was summoned and will speak "truths".

The day, therefore, was marked by insistence on the strategy already revealed here on 247: that of presenting Marconi as a victim of Lula (read here).
