Goiás 247 - In a rush to deliver public works and announce benefits in the interior of the state, Governor Marconi Perillo visited ten more municipalities last week. The inauguration schedule continues this week, with visits planned to at least three more municipalities.
Marconi goes to São Francisco de Goiás, returns to Palmeiras and Ivolândia. Last week he was in Águas Lindas, Palmeiras de Goiás, Itapirapuã, Trindade (twice), Quirinópolis, Caldas Novas, Ipameri, Cidade de Goiás, Carmo do Rio Verde and Senador Canedo. At the inaugurations, the governor highlighted the work done by the Government of Goiás to overcome the crisis and accelerate economic growth again.
Accompanied by aides, the governor delivered housing assistance checks, a fire department unit, a bus terminal, a bridge, sports gyms, and announced new benefits, such as the creation of a new industrial district in Caldas Novas and the resumption of the road widening works between Caldas and Morrinhos. "A mandate is only justified if it is to do good," said Marconi, in Carmo do Rio Verde.
In every municipality he visited, the governor was greeted with celebrations by the local population. As is customary, he fulfilled requests for photos and selfies, chatted with residents, and received requests, which were always immediately forwarded to the secretaries.
In Águas Lindas, the governor inspected the construction of the Eduardo Pereira Brandão General Hospital, which is more than 60% complete. Estimated to serve 250 people from the surrounding region of the Federal District, the unit is a general emergency hospital and will be available for both walk-in and referred patients. Governor Marconi Perillo inspected the hospital's construction and highlighted the high quality standards of the facility. The unit is expected to be delivered next year.
Construction on the unit was halted for five years when it belonged to the Municipality of Águas Lindas. The state government assumed responsibility for the hospital in 2013, immediately resuming construction. The unit will specialize in internal medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, and general surgery. In total, there will be 134 beds, including ten for adult ICU, ten for pediatric ICU, and ten for neonatal ICU. The remaining beds will be for internal medicine, obstetrics, and gynecology.
The hospital will offer X-ray, computed tomography (CT) scans, and ultrasound examinations. It will have eight operating rooms, four of which are for general surgery. It is part of the Emergency and Urgent Care Network. The total state investment will be R$ 15,6 million. The unit has a land area of 30 square meters and a constructed area of 11.405.62 square meters.
