Manuela criticizes the São Paulo City Hall: inefficiency or negligence?

"The fire and collapse of the building in downtown São Paulo is now 21 days old, and the city government still hasn't managed to rent a property to house the families. This morning, two homeless people died of cold. Inefficiency or negligence?", questioned presidential candidate Manuela D'Ávila (PCdoB).

SP 247 - Manuela D'Ávila, pre-candidate for president of the Republic for the PCdoB party, criticized the lack of action by the São Paulo City Hall regarding housing security policies.

"It's been 21 days since the fire and collapse of the building in downtown São Paulo, and the city government still hasn't managed to rent a property to house the families. This morning, two homeless people died of cold. Inefficiency or negligence?" he asks.

The Forensic Science Police have identified three more victims of the collapse of the Wilton Paes de Almeida building, which fell after a fire in the early morning of May 1st, in Largo do Paissandu, in the center of São Paulo. The three people were identified after the examination of human remains found in the rubble of the building. The information was released by the São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP). Seven people have been identified and two are still considered missing.

Last Tuesday (15), delegate Marco Paula Santos, from the 1st Central Sectional Police Station, who is investigating the circumstances of the fire and the collapse of the building, told Agência Brasil that the version that prevails, so far, based on witness testimony, is that a short circuit on the fifth floor would have started the fire.
