Tocantins 247 - Members of various movements have been camped out since Tuesday morning (17), in front of the National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform (Incra/TO), in Palmas, to protest against the slow pace of measures for agrarian reform.

Among the movements participating in the event are: the Landless Workers' Movement (MST), the Federation of Agricultural Workers of Tocantins (Fetaet), the Unified Workers' Central (CUT), the Pastoral Land Commission (CPT), the Indigenous Missionary Council (CIMI), the Alternative for Small-Scale Agriculture in Tocantins (APA), the Center for Human Rights (CDHP), the Movement of People Affected by Dams (MAB), and the Association of Family Farmers' Cooperatives.

Families blocked a section of the North-South Railway earlier this month. According to the Pastoral Land Commission, as a result of the protest, meetings are scheduled for October 18 and 19 at the Incra headquarters in Palmas with representatives from the National Agrarian Ombudsman and Incra in Brasília/DF.
