Another connection between Lira and the money launderer Youssef
In addition to the former president of the Brazilian Urban Train Company, Francisco Colombo, the money launderer Alberto Youssef also sponsored the interim president, Pedro Gherardi, and the special advisor Jorge Vieira; all appointments were made within the quota reserved for Senator Benedito de Lira (PP-AL).
Alagoas 247 - A note published by the Radar column in Veja magazine reveals a new connection between money launderer Alberto Youssef and Senator Benedito de Lira (PP-AL). Youssef allegedly recommended several names for positions at the Brazilian Urban Train Company, in roles negotiated with the PP, Lira's party. Read below:

They are also sponsored by the money launderer Pedro Gherardi, the interim president, and Jorge Vieira, special advisor to the presidency and superintendent of CBTU in Minas Gerais.
Officially, the nominations came from the notorious Benedito de Lyra and Arthur Lira, father and son. The former is a senator and the latter is a congressman for the PP party in Alagoas.
