Lula on Temer: if he doesn't know how to govern, he should apologize and leave.
“Nobody does anything but talk about the public debt. If they don't know how to govern, they should apologize, leave, and let us govern, because we do know how,” said former President Lula during ExpoCatadores last night in Belo Horizonte. “When we won in 2002, the country was bankrupt. We competed, we won, the country didn't go bankrupt, and this country became proud”; he went on to talk about the legal pressure he has been under and said he was willing to “go through any ordeal”; video
Minas 247 – Former President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva stated on Monday night (28), in Belo Horizonte, that if the Michel Temer (PMDB) government doesn't know how to govern, it should just leave.
“Nobody (in the government) does anything except talk about the public debt. If they don't know how to govern, they should apologize, leave, and let us govern, because we do know how,” Lula stated during ExpoCatadores in the capital of Minas Gerais. “When we won in 2002, the country was bankrupt. We competed, we won, the country didn't go bankrupt, and this country became proud,” he said during ExpoCatadores in the capital of Minas Gerais. "If you want to solve the country's economic problems, we have to include the poor in the federal budget. If we don't include the poor in the budget, there's no solution."
Lula spoke again about the judicial siege he has been suffering. “I have no problem being investigated. The law exists for everyone, and if I commit a crime, I have to be investigated. And if proven, I have to be punished. What I can't accept is that at 71 years old, a bunch of young prosecutors decide to enter my house and say that the PT is a criminal organization. And when asked if they have proof (of any accusation), they say no, but that they are convinced,” he stated.
The former president also said he was willing to endure any ordeal and stated that the goal of all this is to prevent him from running in 2018. "Will they let Lula run for president in 2018? Or is everything they're doing aimed at preventing that?"
