Because it seems to me that the people who carried out the coup cannot explain why the country is only getting worse," he lamented; "We were once the happiest country in the world. Today, neighbors refuse to say good morning to each other," Lula compared, criticizing the Temer government; the solution, he said, will be "when we have a democratically elected government."

In the capital, Lula participated in a dinner to welcome new members and affiliates to the Workers' Party. "Those who thought they were going to destroy the PT were wrong, because the PT will emerge from this even stronger than it already was," he celebrated, thanking the young, new members.
