Lula: those who orchestrated the coup can't explain why the country is only getting worse.

In another event in Piauí on Saturday night, the 2nd, in the capital Teresina, former president Lula recalled the times when Brazil "lived an extraordinary moment," when "we were proud to show our passports anywhere"; "But this extraordinary country is ending. Because it seems to me that the people who carried out the coup cannot explain why the country is only getting worse," he lamented; "We were once the happiest country in the world. Today, neighbors refuse to say good morning to each other," Lula compared, criticizing the Temer government; the solution, he said, will be "when we have a democratically elected government."

Piauí 247 - Former President Lula participated in a political event in Teresina, Piauí, on Saturday night, the 2nd, where he recalled the times when Brazil "lived through an extraordinary moment," when "we were proud to show our passports anywhere."

"But this extraordinary country is coming to an end. Because it seems to me that the people who staged the coup can't explain why the country is only getting worse," he lamented, criticizing the Temer government.

"We used to be the happiest country in the world. Today, neighbors refuse to say good morning to each other," Lula compared. The solution, he said, will be "when we have a democratically elected government."

In the capital, Lula participated in a dinner to welcome new members and affiliates to the Workers' Party. "Those who thought they were going to destroy the PT were wrong, because the PT will emerge from this even stronger than it already was," he celebrated, thanking the young, new members.
