Piauí Today – The Opinar Institute also released this Wednesday (13) the results of the survey on the voting intentions of Piauí voters for the Federal Senate. In it, former governor Wilson Martins (PSB) appears in the lead with 19,2% of spontaneous intentions. Frank Aguiar (PRB) is second with 17,1% in the preference of voters heard in the survey.

Ciro Nogueira (Progressistas) appears with 11,9%; Regina Sousa (PT) with 6,7%; Antonio José Lira (PSL), 2,8%; and Quem-quem (Avante), 1,8%. The other candidates – Elizeu Aguiar (PSL), Florentino Filho (PV), Joaquim Saraiva (PSDC), Jesus Rodrigues (PSol) and Telsírio Alencar (SD) – obtained less than 1% of the opinions.

The large number of undecided voters is surprising: 73% of those interviewed did not know or did not want to answer. Another 40% promise to cast a blank or null vote, or vote for none of the candidates.

The survey was registered with the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) under number 09989/2018. Conducted between June 8th and 10th, the survey interviewed 1.082 voters in 51 municipalities in the state, and the margin of error is 2,97% plus or minus.

The Opinar Institute also wanted to know the voting intentions for President of the Republic. Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is by far the most preferred candidate among voters in Piauí, with 69,78% of voting intentions. Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) is far behind, with 6,28% of opinions.
