Lula arrives in Piauí with the "Lula Across Brazil" caravan.
The "Lula Pelo Brasil" caravan lands this Friday (1) in Piauí, the eighth northeastern state to receive the former president who arrives in Marcolândia where he will participate in an event in defense of clean energy and the economic development of the state; during Lula's government, the state received investments in clean energy, in partnership with BNDES, including wind and photovoltaic; during his visit to the state, Lula will receive an honorary doctorate from the Federal University of Piauí.
Piaui 247 - The "Lula Pelo Brasil" caravan lands this Friday (1) in Piauí, the eighth northeastern state to receive the former president who arrives in Marcolândia where he participates in an event in defense of clean energy and the economic development of the state.
During Lula's administration, the state received investments in clean energy, in partnership with BNDES, including wind and solar power. Marcolândia became a world reference in the clean energy sector.
On Saturday (2), Lula will go to Picos where he will participate in an event in defense of entrepreneurship and employment at Casa Apis, built during the PT administration and which helps organize small honey producers in the region.
On Sunday (3), the caravan arrives in the city of Altos and then continues to an event in defense of Brazil in Teresina. The caravan, which has already traveled more than 3.500 kilometers, participates in the awarding of honorary citizenship to Lula in Timon, located on the border between Piauí and Maranhão.
Back in Teresina, Lula will receive an honorary doctorate from UFPI on the 4th.
Piauí grew under Lula's government.
Lula returns to the state that, previously neglected by earlier governments and ranked last in development rankings, has risen two positions after the implementation of social and incentive programs by the Workers' Party governments.
Social policies, especially the "Light for All" program and cistern programs, have also changed the lives of the people of Piauí. Now, Lula returns to see firsthand the changes brought about by his government, to talk to and listen to the people. Lula will travel almost 4 kilometers by bus from Bahia to Maranhão with the first phase of the caravan.
