Lúcio denies prior agreement for PMDB to be ACM's vice-presidential candidate.
Deputy Lúcio Vieira Lima denies that there is a prior agreement for the PMDB to nominate the vice-mayor candidate for ACM Neto (DEM) in 2016; "It's important, but there are no conditions. If, in the future, they think that to achieve victory it is necessary for the PMDB to nominate the candidate, we will do it, but nothing is certain yet"; he rules out the possibility of the PMDB having its own candidate; "Salvador is being well governed and came from an administrative chaos that the mayor put in order."
Bahia 247 - Federal deputy Lúcio Vieira Lima denies that there is a prior agreement for the PMDB to nominate the vice-mayor candidate for ACM Neto (DEM) in 2016. This possibility is raised as a possible reciprocation from the DEM to the PMDB for the majoritarian ticket that ran for governor of the state in 2014, when Geddel Vieira Lima gave up his candidacy and ran for the Senate (he was defeated).
"It's important but there are no conditions. If, in the future, they think that to achieve victory it is necessary for the PMDB to nominate the candidate, we will do it, but nothing is certain yet," the deputy said in an interview with the Bahia Notícias website this Monday (6).
He dismisses the possibility of the PMDB having its own candidate. "Salvador is being well governed and came from an administrative chaos that the mayor put in order," the parliamentarian said.
Lúcio admits that he has been talking to politicians from the interior of the state to form candidacies for 2016 and that he has sought dialogue with PT figures such as Geraldo Simões, Luiz Caetano, and Zé das Virgens, who are influential in key cities like Itabuna, Feira de Santana, and Irecê.
"I have been talking to all the good candidates who have strong candidacies, not just from the PT. The PMDB is paying attention and we want to have the largest number of candidates in the big cities. Our criterion is to give the people an option if the government is not satisfactory."
