Goiás 247 - Businesswoman Luana Baldy attracted attention after being mentioned by the newspaper O Estado de S.Paulo as a possible running mate for presidential candidate Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB). In Goiás, she had already been considered for major political positions for some time. Luana states that she is willing to enter politics to "leave the comfort of her home and help people in need."

“I helped my husband enter politics because we are successful in our personal lives. We should give back everything that God grants us, and this would be the same motivation that would eventually lead me to enter this world,” says Luana, who is the wife of the Minister of Cities and president of the PP in Goiás, Alexandre Baldy.

"Brazil needs more and more politicians who stop focusing on their personal projects and look solely and exclusively at improving people's lives. I don't need a job or a position, but rather to take care of people. It means leaving the comfort of my home, being away from my children, stepping away from our businesses, and making ourselves available to work for the collective good, for a better society," he concludes.

Granddaughter of Ildefonso Limírio, founder of Neoquímica, Luana states that if her participation in one of the major tickets in this year's election is confirmed, she will raise the banners of job creation and the defense of more and more spaces for women in political life.

Luana praises her husband's performance at the head of the Ministry of Cities. "I believe he has been making a difference in people's lives, with the support of President Michel Temer. He has been delivering more than 1.200 homes every day and authorizing the construction of others to be delivered in the future. How can one not admire the resumption of such an important program that was abandoned, without investment and with thousands of stalled projects?" she says.
