Louos: Chamber wants 'broad popular participation'
In a meeting this Tuesday, the leadership of the Salvador City Council decided by majority vote that Bill No. 190/16, which deals with the Law on the Ordering of Land Use and Occupation (Louos), will be processed jointly by the committees on Constitution and Justice; Urban Planning; and Budget and Finance, as happened with the PDDU project; "We will provide the same transparency and promote broad popular participation in the debates on Louos, just as we did with the PDDU," said the president of the Legislative branch, councilman Paulo Câmara.
Bahia 247 - In a meeting this Tuesday morning (28), the college of leaders of the Salvador City Council decided by majority that Bill No. 190/16, which provides for the Law on the Ordering of Land Use and Occupation (Louos), will have joint processing in the committees of Constitution and Justice; Urban Planning; and Budget and Finance, as happened with the PDDU project.
Councilman Claudio Tinoco (DEM) will be the president of the Louos monitoring committee. Councilman Leo Prates (DEM) will be the rapporteur.
Next Monday (4), at 9 am, in the Noble Hall of the House, the Municipal Secretary of Urban Planning, Sérgio Guanabara, and technicians from Sucom will give a presentation on the Louos project to councilors and advisors, before the start of the public hearings that will be held by the Chamber.
"We will provide the same transparency and promote broad popular participation in the debates on the Land Use and Occupation Law, just as we did with the Urban Development Master Plan," said the president of the Legislative Assembly, councilman Paulo Câmara (PSDB).
Motorcycle taxi drivers
Also during the meeting with party leaders, they unanimously agreed that Bill No. 119/2016, authored by the Municipal Executive and which regulates motorcycle taxi drivers in Salvador, will be voted on in the first half of August.
In addition to Louos and the motorcycle taxi drivers, the leaders also discussed the progress of Bill No. 02/15, which establishes the Disciplinary Regime for the Municipal Civil Guard, and proposals authored by council members that will be included on the agenda for the next ordinary sessions.
