A book detailing the illegalities of the Rio Public Prosecutor's Office operation that led to Rodrigo Neves's arrest at the end of 2018 will be launched this Thursday (17)
Conjur - The book Coup defeated — the truth about the conspiracy to destroy Rodrigo Neves and seize control of the Niterói City Hall. (Published by Máquina de Livros), by journalist PH de Noronha, will be launched next Thursday (March 17th), starting at 7 pm, at Livraria da Travessa in Shopping Leblon, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The book details the illegalities of the Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office operation that led to Neves's arrest at the end of 2018. He spent 93 days in prison at the Gericinó Complex, in pavilion Bangu 8.
Defended by criminal lawyer Técio Lins e Silva, Rodrigo Neves was released and returned to the Niterói City Hall in March 2019, completed his term, had his successor [Axel Grael] elected, and emerged as a candidate for governor of Rio.
Written by journalist PH Noronha and with a preface by Lins e Silva, the book focuses on testimonies from political leaders, former ministers, jurists, secretaries, and the wife and children of Rodrigo Neves who fought against his imprisonment.
