Leader of the PCdoB highlights 'commitment' to justify vote for Maia.
The leader of the PCdoB in the Chamber of Deputies, Daniel Almeida from Bahia, recorded a video explaining the party's justification for supporting the candidacy of the current Speaker of the House, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ): "There is a commitment to the functioning of the Chamber's Board and the exercise of the Presidency, based on respect for minorities, debate, and the House Rules. This commitment has already been put into practice in the months that Rodrigo Maia has been at the head of the Chamber. There is, undoubtedly, a difference between the political position he adopts and the role of president. We will continue to be forceful in our opposition to the Temer government," says Almeida; watch the video.
Bahia 247 - The leader of the PCdoB in the Chamber of Deputies, Daniel Almeida from Bahia, recorded a video explaining the party's justification for supporting the candidacy of the current president of the House, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ).
"The issue here is not a dispute between left and right. It's not a dispute between coup plotters and non-coup plotters. There is a commitment to the functioning of the Chamber's Board and the exercise of the Presidency, based on respect for minorities, debate, and the House Rules. This commitment has already been put into practice in these months that Rodrigo Maia has been at the head of the Chamber. There is, undoubtedly, a difference between the political position he adopts and the role of president. We will continue to be forceful in our opposition to the Temer government," says Almeida in the video.
The PCdoB has been heavily criticized for supporting the Democrat, especially after the PT announced its support for the candidacy of Congressman André Figueiredo (PDT-CE).
