Liangjiahe, a renovated village on the Loess Plateau

China Radio International Liangjiahe, located on the Loess Plateau, was formerly a poor village in the city of Yanan, Shaanxi province.

In recent years, the village has developed apple orchards and created a rural cultural tourism company, as well as building greenhouses for growing vegetables, enabling villagers to obtain jobs in the tourism and ecological sectors and increase their income.

Now, Liangjiahe is already a moderately prosperous village with a per capita income approaching 20 yuan.
