Brazil 247 - Juventus attacking midfielder Douglas Costa is the latest concern for the Brazilian national team's coaching staff. Rodrigo Lasmar, CBF doctor, revealed in a press conference this Wednesday (23) that Juve's number 11 is doubtful for Brazil's next friendly, against Croatia at Anfield Road stadium, in Liverpool, on June 3.

"We knew we would have two exceptional situations: Neymar and Fagner. But we had a surprise, which was Douglas Costa. He complained of pain in the back of his thigh during Juventus' last game. We already knew about this situation before the presentation, so an imaging exam was performed which confirmed the small muscle injury," explained Rodrigo Lasmar.

In the interview, Lasmar also ruled out the possibility of cutting the team. "Fagner and Douglas Costa have been evaluated, in an ongoing system. They will be observed, yes, but today we are not working with the hypothesis of cutting them."

The Brazilian National Team has been training since Monday (21) at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis, and will play two friendlies before making its debut in the World Cup in Russia against Switzerland, on June 15. In addition to Croatia, on the 3rd, Brazil will also face Austria the following Sunday, the 10th.
