Lélis: only Miranda can make the "real change"

After launching a pre-candidacy for governor with a strong discourse advocating for the renewal of political forces and an end to the alternation of power between families, the candidate for vice-governor on Marcelo Miranda's ticket, Marcelo Lélis, is trying to adjust his discourse to the new electoral landscape. According to Lélis, Marcelo Miranda has the people's trust to bring about the real change that our state needs. Tocantins 247 - The candidate for vice-governor on Marcelo Miranda's ticket, Marcelo Lélis (PV), reiterated his defense that the PMDB candidate possesses the qualities to promote "true change" in Tocantins. Marcelo Lélis, who launched a pre-candidacy for governor with a strong discourse advocating for the renewal of political forces and an end to the alternation of power between families, is attempting to adapt his discourse to the new electoral landscape.

According to material released this Thursday, the 3rd, by his press office, Lélis says that Marcelo Miranda has the people's trust to make the real change that our State needs. "Only Marcelo Miranda has the people's trust to promote real change in Tocantins," said Lélis.

The Green Party's candidate for vice-governor recalled that Marcelo Miranda's history assures the people that he can bring about change in Tocantins. "It was Marcelo Miranda who began making changes in our state, in the way it was governed. It was Marcelo Miranda who first broke with the outdated way of governing, guaranteeing the freedom of institutions and the political class, removing the gag order from the people and promoting the transformations that were fundamental to ensuring progress in Tocantins. Marcelo Miranda has already made change in the state once, and he has the people's trust to advance even further in the changes that Tocantins deserves. The people of Tocantins want a change that brings the confidence that it will actually happen, and this must be done by someone who has credibility, honesty, work capacity, and who always tells the truth to the people," he emphasized. The vice-governor candidate did not mention in the press release that Marcelo Miranda had his mandate revoked by the Superior Electoral Court in 2009 for abuse of political power.

During his travels throughout the state with the Movement for an Alternative Change, Marcelo Lelis said he saw in people's faces the disappointment with the State Government and the desire for change. "We traveled all over Tocantins, visited more than 110 municipalities, and clearly saw that the people are tired of suffering in hospitals, of living with insecurity and the lack of police on the streets, and of taking risks on Tocantins' roads. That's why the people want change, because they are tired of the misgovernment. And that's the change we want to offer our people, a reliable and genuine change," Lelis concluded.
