The mayor of Belo Horizonte stated that the city hall had no responsibility for the cancellation of the Cruzeiro party. “I’m here because it’s nice to come here once in a while. I’m also not going to dress up (Doria dressed as a garbage collector in one of his first acts as mayor), and bother everyone every day, because we all have better things to do, right? Both me and you, seeing this ugly face every day making a spectacle of ourselves and acting like puppets,” he added.
Commenting on his administration, the mayor stated that he has R$ 3 billion in contracts for works to be completed by the end of his term. "Although we didn't promise it, we fought for it and we succeeded. We're going to make the city work," he said.
