Court authorizes DEM to use 'monthly allowance'

Bahia 247 - After complaining of 'censorship' by the Electoral Court, in a press conference on Monday (29), the coalition 'United for Bahia', of Paulo Souto (DEM), celebrated a decision that revoked the sentence of Judge Cláudio Césare, which had prohibited the broadcasting of an alleged scheme to divert money from the Instituto Brasil, disclosed by the NGO's own president, Dalva Sele Paiva, in free electoral radio and TV advertising. The decision in favor of DEM was taken yesterday afternoon.

The new measure was judged by electoral judge Wanderley Gomes, who understood that his colleague Césare had exceeded the request made by the PT (Workers' Party) to veto an advertisement shown in the opposition's campaign programs that deals with Dalva Sele Paiva's interview in Veja magazine.

New understanding confirms that the advertisement already aired by DEM cannot be shown, but the party can return to the subject in another piece to be presented during the election broadcast time.
