Pernambuco 247 - One of the biggest opponents of the PSB administration at the head of the Recife City Hall, councilor Raul Jungmann (PPS) was put in an awkward position by his own party. With the rapprochement between PSB/Rede and PPS, Jungmann received the mission of acting as the party's interlocutor with the team that is preparing the government plan for the presidential candidacy of the governor of Pernambuco, Eduardo Campos. The PPS's entry into the programmatic discussions is scheduled to begin next Monday (27). "Roberto Freire delegated to me the function of providing technical support to the PPS proposals," the parliamentarian told Blog do Jamildo. Despite the anachronistic situation, the councilor says he sees no inconsistency in helping to build a government plan together with the party he opposes.

Jungmann, who is the director of the Astrojildo Pereira Foundation, linked to the party, is scheduled to meet next week with the coordinator of the João Mangabeira Foundation, Carlos Siqueira (PSB), to discuss the guidelines of the government program that are already being studied by the PSB. "We will receive the proposals from PSB/Rede, so that we can examine them thoroughly," he said. "I cannot refuse to support the PPS, for the work it will actually do," he added.

Regarding a possible inconsistency in collaborating with a government plan of a party that is in opposition, the councilman was emphatic. “We will discuss the national scenario from 2015 onwards. My contract with the voter was established at the local level between 2012 and 2016,” he stated. Jungmann also assured that the fact that he was designated by the party to act as an interlocutor for the PPS with the PSB/Rede will not change his position as a member of the opposition bloc to Mayor Geraldo Julio (PSB).
