"JB, Mendonça and Eliane are a dream ticket"
This is according to the mayor of Canindé, Heleno Silva (PRB), who is in favor of an understanding between Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB) and Mayor João Alves Filho (DEM); Heleno also says that the candidacy of former first lady Eliane Aquino (PT) for the Senate would be a way for "Sergipe to honor Marcelo Déda"; regarding the opposition, Heleno makes harsh criticisms: "Some figures from the PSC have a strange way of doing politics. Through pressure, cornering, shouting, and force."
Sergipe 247 - The mayor of Canindé do São Francisco, Heleno Silva (PRB), demanded, this Monday (10), that the base of parties that supports Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB) have "humility" in the current moment of building alliances aiming at the next elections. According to him, Jackson should seek the support of DEM, of Mayor João Alves Filho.
Furthermore, the PRB leader in the state is in favor of the candidacy of former first lady Eliane Aquino (PT) for the Senate. "Sergipe should honor Marcelo Déda with a Senate mandate for Eliane Aquino," he stressed. He also defended the name of federal deputy Mendonça Prado (DEM) as a candidate for vice-governor. "It would be the dream ticket," he stated, during an interview with radio host George Magalhães on Mix FM.
Regarding the opposition, Heleno made harsh criticisms. He recalled the pressure exerted by the group led by Edivan Amorim and Senator Eduardo Amorim (PSC) against the national leadership of the PRB, forcing the party to align itself with the opposition. "Some figures in the PSC have a strange way of doing politics. Through pressure, cornering, shouting, force. Sergipe followed the uproar within the party. We were upset about that episode," he said.
The mayor of Canindé questioned the leadership of federal deputy André Moura (PSC) in the Chamber of Deputies. "André Moura is the leader of the PSC, and when you are a leader in Congress you have a lot of power and importance, but how has this leadership served Sergipe? What benefits does André Moura's leadership bring to the state? Where are the amendments, the projects, the investments, the works?" he asked.
