Jackson brings secretaries together to accelerate Proinveste.
According to the acting governor, the central agenda of the meeting, which took place this Monday (9), was a detailed analysis of the works and the search for potential 'bottlenecks' that could cause some kind of delay in their progress. “This was a broad meeting, with several secretaries, including the Secretary of Inclusion, Assistance and Social Development, the first lady Eliane Aquino, to carry out a detailed analysis of Proinveste, addressing the works that are underway, those that have their projects being drawn up and those that have their projects ready and prepared for bidding, in addition to the analysis of those that are already being tendered”, he explained.
ASN - Late in the afternoon of Monday, the 9th, the acting governor, Jackson Barreto, held a large meeting with the participation of nine secretaries and heads of state administration bodies to discuss the execution and progress of various works related to the Proinveste program. The meeting took place at the Summer Palace.
According to the acting governor, the central agenda was a detailed analysis of the works and the search for potential 'bottlenecks' that could cause delays in their progress. “This was a broad meeting, including several secretaries, including the Secretary of Inclusion, Assistance and Social Development, the First Lady Eliane Aquino, to conduct a detailed analysis of Proinveste, focusing on works that are underway, those whose projects are being developed, and those whose projects are ready and prepared for bidding, in addition to analyzing those that are already being tendered,” explained Jackson Barreto.
Projects that have already been tendered and are about to begin, such as the land leveling for the Cancer Hospital, were also discussed during this meeting. "It was an important meeting, fundamental for each sector to assume its responsibility and for there to be integration among all the departments involved in the Proinveste projects," emphasized the acting governor.
Arrangements
Jackson Barreto also pointed to the need for an objective approach from the State Secretariat for the Environment interacting with the Secretariat for Infrastructure, in order to ensure speed and efficiency in the licensing granted through the State Environmental Administration (Adema). "We also discussed issues inherent to the release of funds for the execution of the works, where the State Secretariat of Finance responded positively to any and all schedules established by the Secretary of Infrastructure," added Jackson Barreto.
According to him, the meeting provided an effective analysis of the works related to the State Secretariat of Health and the State Secretariat of Education, focusing on the priority that should be given to these services. "For me, this was the most important meeting since we identified some bottlenecks and realized that more aggressive action is needed so that the works can move forward, the projects can be expedited, and the bureaucracy for carrying out these services can be reduced, which has always been the desire of all of us," he pointed out.
For Jackson Barreto, the completion of these projects will mean the fulfillment of many dreams for the people of Sergipe. “Beyond the feeling of accomplishment, these projects will provide a better quality of life for our population, especially in the field of health, with the construction of the Cancer Hospital, the purchase of new equipment for hospitals, and the construction of a very important project: the Comprehensive Care Center for People with Disabilities, which received funding when I was still a federal deputy. Similarly, in the field of Education, with the expansion, renovation, and construction of vocational schools,” the governor listed.
According to him, these works represent "the mark of a great social commitment by Governor Marcelo Déda and Acting Governor Jackson Barreto." "It is clear that we will now expedite the process, since 60% of these resources have already been released, and we need to move forward with the execution of the works so that, by July 2014, we can request the release of the remaining resources, taking into account that we will have already completed 80% of the works equivalent to the released resources," he stated.
Responsibility
Therefore, according to the governor, this was a highly productive meeting. "We will continue to meet and put these Proinveste projects on the agenda, holding each sector accountable so that the works can be carried out as quickly as possible," concluded Jackson Barreto.
Those participating in the meeting included the State Secretaries of Infrastructure, Valmor Barbosa; Social Inclusion, Eliane Aquino; Health, Joélia Silva; Education, Belivaldo Chagas; Planning, Budget and Management, Jeferson Passos; Environment, Genival Nunes; Agriculture, José Macêdo Sobral; the State Attorney General, Márcio Leite de Rezende; the Deputy Secretary of Planning, Ana Cristina Prado; the president of the State Public Works Company, Antônio Carlos dos Santos; and the advisor to the Infrastructure Secretariat, engineer Osmar Santos.
