Jackson: "I can talk politics with João; why not?"
Acting Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB) does not rule out a political agreement with Mayor João Alves Filho (DEM) regarding the 2014 elections; however, he stressed that, currently, his relationship with the DEM member is limited to administrative matters. "The national PMDB has no impediment to an alliance with the DEM. The PT is the one that has difficulty in this regard, although I will not give up on the PT's participation in our ticket," stated JB in an interview with Princesa FM radio, in Itabaiana.
247 - Acting Governor Jackson Barreto (PMDB), in an interview given this Monday (25), on Princesa FM radio, in Itabaiana, stated that he does not rule out a political understanding with Mayor João Alves Filho (DEM), with a view to the 2014 election. However, he stressed that, currently, his relationship with the DEM member is limited to administrative matters. For the PMDB leader, elections will only be on his agenda in March of next year.
“I have sought to build my name through hard work. I try not to mix the political side with administration,” he stated. When questioned about his contact with the mayor of Aracaju, he was objective: “Up to this point, we have only discussed administration. Now, when it comes time to talk politics, we can talk, why not? The political landscape will determine that. The national PMDB has no impediment to an alliance with the DEM. The PT is the one that has difficulty in this regard, although I will not give up on the PT's participation in our ticket.”
