ix35 will now be produced at the Hyundai plant in Anápolis.

The Caoa Group invested approximately R$ 600 million in Goiás in a new assembly line projected to reach a production of 165 units per day of the sporty SUV by December of this year. Perillo and the president of the Caoa Group, Carlos Alberto de Andrade, visited the factory this Wednesday. The Hyundai plant in Anápolis currently employs two thousand direct employees, 200 of whom were recently hired for the production of the new model.

Goiás 247_ Governor Marconi Perillo visited the Hyundai Caoa plant in Anápolis late Wednesday morning to check on the start of production of the ix35 SUV. The Goiás plant is the first to produce one of the Korean manufacturer's most sophisticated models domestically. Previously, the SUV was imported directly from its Asian headquarters.

The Caoa Group invested approximately R$ 600 million in Goiás in a new assembly line projected to gradually reach a production of 165 ix35 units per day by December of this year. In addition, the Goiás-based automaker already produces the HR (pickup truck), HD (light truck), and Tucson (SUV) models, totaling 2.800 new vehicles per month.

“We are facing a modern, state-of-the-art factory that, since its inception in Goiás in 2002, has already provided us with several expansion projects and will continue to grow even more. Thanks to the tax incentives granted by the State Government in programs such as Produzir; the legal security afforded to businesses; and the granting of tax credits for infrastructure investments, Goiás has managed to attract large companies that have found the conditions to prosper here,” said Marconi Perillo.

The president of the Caoa Group, Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Andrade, commented on the new phase of Hyundai in Anápolis: “It is important to note that automotive technology is improving, and with that, we are also improving in this process. Today we begin manufacturing on national soil one of the cars considered to be among the best in the world in terms of technology,” explained the businessman.

Governor Marconi recalled the effort to modernize the state's industrial park and attract large groups like Caoa. “Today, Goiás is an industrial state. And this is thanks to the efforts undertaken in our previous administrations. The Hyundai plant in Anápolis alone generated around two thousand direct jobs and thousands more indirect jobs,” he celebrated.

The Hyundai plant in Anápolis currently employs two thousand direct employees, 200 of whom were recently hired for the production of the new model. Its production is geared towards supplying the national automobile market. In addition to the factory in Goiás managed by the Caoa Group, Hyundai maintains a second unit in Piracicaba (in the interior of São Paulo state), managed by its Korean headquarters.
