Antônio Campos recently transferred his electoral domicile to Olinda and submitted a request to join the party's vice-presidency at the municipal level, claiming to have a strong emotional connection with the historic city.
However, the situation is viewed with caution by the PSB leadership, given the party's strategic alliance with the PCdoB. For the past fifteen years, the city has been governed by the PCdoB, and the party is part of Governor Paulo Câmara's (PSB) base.
